Nokia has declared that pre-orders for N900 have started in Singapore from today to Mar 26.

The Maemo-based device comes at a price for S$999 and has an ARM Cortex-A8 processor, equipped with 1GB application memory and OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration. With a microSD card, it possesses 32GB of storage that is expandable up to 48GB.

The phone is believed to have an impressive speed with the way it manages multitasking and full Flash support from the phone’s Mozilla Firefox browser.

Nokia N900 is said to be a mobile computer as one can download full desktop apps on the cell phone. Easy Debian package for mobile from Maemo. org can also be downloaded.

Many game emulators are available for Nokia N900, including ones for Gameboy Advance and NES games.

Much hype was made about the iPhone Ocarina application, but the Nokia N900 boasts of having its own musical competitor, the Theremin. It is controlled using the touchscreen, and allows absolute control over pitch and tone. Moreover, the application is free to download.

Though the Nokia N900 does not have an in-built FM radio; the FM Radio Player app can be installed on the phone and you can tune into any radio station you are fond of.

Since the Nokia N900 is geared with GPS, it enables to track your location wherever you are. So in case you get lost, this fabulous feature will help you get back to your place.
