LG GX500 – New Dual-SIM Phone from LG

LG has just released a third handset containing a dual SIM. This is the LG GX500.

The Dual SIM card is a relatively new phenomenon, but to date there has not been many Dual SIM handsets released. Dual SIM’s give you the benefit of having 2 separate phone numbers (perhaps one number for work and one for your personal life), without having to have 2 handsets.

The LG GX500 is a touchscreen phone and includes – Wi-Fi, a 3in display with WQVGA resolution and Bluetooth. Entertainment includes a music player and FM radio. The phone also has a 3-megapixel camera.

Other handsets to be released with dual SIM are the Alcatel C60 and the Samsung B5722.

The former is believed to be a “budget affair” with a large keypad and a camera although nothing as yet is known about the handset’s specifications.

Samsung announced the B5722 last November along with the C6112 another dual SIM handset.

The B5722 is based on quad-band GSM. It has a 2.8in QVGA display, with 262k colours. Users have access to social networking sites and a TouchWiz 1.0 user interface. There is a 3.2 megapixel camera with an 8GB microSD card, Bluetooth, FM Radio and MP3 player.

The C6112 has a slider chassis and like the B5722 also features quad-band GSM / EDGE connectivity. The screen is slightly smaller at 2.4in, the handset includes an FM radio with RDS, a music player, Bluetooth and a 2-megapixel camera with an 8GB microSD card slot.
