Available now, the LG Optimus One phone with Android 2.2 is on offer with contracts starting at £20 per month with the operators T-Mobile, Three, Carphone Warehouse and Orange.
The phone sports a 600MHz processor, a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen, a 3MP camera, GPS, a micro USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card slot and a whopping 1500mAh capacity battery. Its front has four keys – back, menu, home and search – as well as an on button and volume control on the top and side.
Said by LG to be designed for users “on the go”, it has WiFi hotspot support and access to Google mobile services such Goggle, Shopper and Maps with turn-by-turn navigation. Using Android 2.2, LG claims users will find that browsing is two to three times faster, with improved webpage loading, application pop-ups and multi-tasking.
Other features include voice search, augmented reality and a camera with face tracking and smile shot. The Optimus One follows its sibling the Optimus 7, which is the Windows Phone 7 handset and was launched last month
