BlackBerry Sedona for Verizon has been spotted

The forthcoming Blackberry Curve series phone, the Sedona has been spotted for Verizon with a light-up trackpad. The new shots confirm that this is the CDMA variation of the next-gen Curve, which is also be accompanied by a GSM version dubbed Apollo on launch. The shots included below show the device running Blackberry’s next phone OS 6.1, which reportedly still needs to be debugged before an expected May launch at Blackberry World.

Motorola Defy has been released for Indian market

Motorola announced to release yet another Google Android mobile Phone ‘Motorola Defy’ in India. Motorola claims that the phone is ready for rugged use and it is water and scratch resistant as well as dustproof. The Motorola Defy runs on the Android 2.1 Éclair Operating System and it may be upgraded with Google Android 2.2 Froyo very soon. It is a slim, lightweight, powerful and also a durable mobile phone. HTC plans to present Facebook phone at 2011 MWC

According to gadget market rumor mills, the 2011 Mobile World Congress (MWC) will see a ‘Facebook Phone’ coming out.

Rumors about Facebook Phone doing the rounds started long back. Earlier in 2010, many market analysts predicted the possibility of Facebook phone, but Mark Zuckerberg’s social networking platform with more than 500 million active users rejected the idea saying that company was focussing only on web platform and mobile applications.

Canadian HTC Launches: HD7 on Bell 2/10, Desire HD on Telus Soon

Samsung Releases New Galaxy S Phones for Asia, Russia and Europe

Today, Samsung Korea announced four new additions to the Galaxy S line of phones: the Samsung Galaxy Ave, Fit, Gio and Mini. There’s no news yet if any of these will find their way to the U. S.

It looks like each of the handsets will have a similar software package to the current line of Galaxy S phones here, including the Samsung Apps store, SWYPE keyboard, and MediaHub. It also looks like they’ll come with Froyo and not Android 2.1. Unlike the phones released State-side, these new Galaxy S models have different display sizes and CPUs as well as different outward designs.

Nokia Launches X2-01 QWERTY Phone in India

Nokia has launched the X2-01 music phone in India which is priced at Rs. 4,459. It has a full QWERTY keypad, which makes the X2-01 look less like a music phone and more like a business phone. The phone also has a 2.4-inch QVGA display, microSD card slot, Bluetooth and a camera that shockingly captures images only in VGA resolution.

Unannounced Nokia X1 Approved by the FCC

Nokia’s X-series of handsets will soon welcome a new member: the Nokia X1 (more exactly, X1-00).

Thanks to the FCC (which approved the X1 earlier today), we know that, just like the Nokia X2-00, the unannounced phone is a candybar. We also know that it has a speaker on the back, and features 850 / 1900 MHz GSM connectivity.

Samsung announces Android-powered Galaxy Ace, Fit, Gio, and Mini

Samsung’s global family of Galaxy S Android smartphones is growing. Today the cell phone maker announced four more members: Samsung Galaxy Ace, Samsung Galaxy Fit, Samsung Galaxy Gio, and Samsung Galaxy Mini. We won’t get a chance to see the new global devices until Mobile World Congress next month in Barcelona, Spain, and the phones are all headed to Russia first (the Fit is available there now), with expansion to the rest of Europe, India, and China. The Galaxy Fit will eventually head to South American countries as well.
