HTC EVO Shift 4G for Sprint Network Announced

HTC EVO Shift 4G was just announced and here are the key features and specs. Like its brother EVO 4G, it has the same 800Mhz Qualcomm MSM7630 CPU and 512 MB of RAM, sounds weak but since the processor Qualcomm its fairly speedy. The display has shrunk, we now get a 3.6-inch touchscreen and not so great QWERTY keyboard. Though it has few useful shortcut keys still nothing compared to Motorola Cliq 2.

The phone itself is feels solid and though slightly chunky nevertheless still pocket-able. Camera now; not so solid. The phone gets a 5 megapixel lens and none in the front. The photos look grainy if you compare them to the EVO 4G.

We hope to believe that the phone will get an updated Android 2.3 platform to improve its overall performance. But no red flags till now. The call quality was very good, and when I say that the person on the other end heard very little of the loud noise on my end – you should know the quality was really good.

The phone is available to Sprint for $150 with a two year contract. And so because its on Sprint the device comes with mobile hotspots that enables you to connect approx. 8 ei-fi enabled devices.

For those who prefer do go for top of the line QWERTY keyboard, Cliq 2 is your answer, but overall this is a sound device.
