BlackBerry Sedona for Verizon has been spotted

The forthcoming Blackberry Curve series phone, the Sedona has been spotted for Verizon with a light-up trackpad. The new shots confirm that this is the CDMA variation of the next-gen Curve, which is also be accompanied by a GSM version dubbed Apollo on launch. The shots included below show the device running Blackberry’s next phone OS 6.1, which reportedly still needs to be debugged before an expected May launch at Blackberry World.

The entry-level Blackberry device is expected to see a processor upgrade to a Tavor MG-1 800MHz processor and a return to a high-resolution 480×360 display not seen since the Curve 8900 in 2008. Like a number of smartphones being launched this year, it is also expected to pack a NFC chip for close-range wireless payments. Further, it will pack a five-megapixel camera with flash, 512MB of RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi and GPS navigation.
