Nokia Delaying the N8 / N8-00 Flagship Phone Until July
April 15th, 2010 by admin in nokia
Delaying appears to be the trend this day, as just after Apple announced that the iPad will be postponed, Nokia have come out with an announcement stating that the N8 / N8-00 flaghsip phone has been delayed until the middle of July.
Apple’s delay is more or less understandable, but Nokia’s isn’t so much – actually, according to most the handset should be released as quickly as possible since most people will be more willing to get the iPhone 4G or HTC EVO 4G in July, which are both more attractive than the N8. This makes Nokia’s decision questionable, as they should be supposed to be in a hurry to catch the “sweet spot” for releasing their phone.
Nokia haven’t explained the delay yet, and we’re certainly very curious to hear about it from them – according to a tip from someone in O2 UK, the N8 is already present in O2’s stock update and will be sold when it’s ready to arrive.

Nokia C3 passes FCC
April 2nd, 2010 by admin in nokia
The Nokia C3 has been approved by the FCC in the US and is expected to be announced soon. The C-Series has been in the news for quite sometime and Nokia announced the C5 at CeBIT last month.
Comparing the FCC image with the Nokia Mystique which was reported by a Vietnamese site few months go , looks like the C3 might actually be the Mystique QWERTY phone.
But what’s surprising is the fact the the phone was rumored to have a 5 Megapixel Camera and run Symbian OSSymbian OS. It’s not clear how that would be possible at such a price point.
The C3 is expected to be cheaper than the C5 as the new naming conventions from Nokia suggests that lower numbers indicate a lower price point and less features compared to high-end devices like C8, C9. C5 is just in the middle of the lot.
Symbian V3 Laden Nokia N8 Coming Soon
March 25th, 2010 by admin in nokia
Images of what is considered to be Nokia’s next high-end handset have started making the rounds of the Interweb starting yesterday. The phone is question is known as the N8 and is said to be powered by Symbian ^3.
The phone, which is believed to be launched as early as next month, has a large touchscreen front and might come with a 12 megapixel camera at the rear. The resolution of the screen is thought to be WVGA and the camera is likely to come with Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss optics. If it turns out to be true, the N8 will be the second phone to come with an HDMI port. The first one, as you might be aware, happens to be the HTC EVO 4G that was announced yesterday. The phone also gets a 3.5mm jack and is rumored to be able to capture 720p videos at 30fps.
As of now, there is some confusion regarding the possible announcement of this phone. Since there is no major cellular industry based event in April, some believe the phone could be made official in September. Others, however, claim that Nokia’s annual general meeting scheduled next month might be a perfect occasion to make he N8 official.
Looks like the likes of the N97 and the N900s will have a big brother soon!
Nokia Announces C5 phone
March 25th, 2010 by admin in nokia
While mobile phone manufacturers are seemingly competing against each other, Nokia has decided to bring out its C5 model in an attempt to push the standards and technology to the highest possible altitude. The C5 has all the greatest features for sharing and social networking and the custom optimization that it features is top notch. Not only is this a great social networking smart phone, but it also offers its users the use of Ovi Maps with drive navigation and the inclusive free walk mode. This will allow you to share your location with friends on your social networks so that if you are in the same area you can hook up for a coffee and chat.
Actual Release Later this Year
While Nokia has only stated the C5 as an announcement, the release date is scheduled for some time in the 2nd quarter, allowing more people to gear themselves up for its pending arrival. It is Nokia’s hope that there will be an uproar about this phone much like the iPhone debut, although probably on a smaller scale. While the iPhone release was of great importance to mobile phone users, the Nokia C5 is lagging a bit behind with the latest technology.

Nokia C6 slider
March 14th, 2010 by admin in nokia
If the latest leaked images are to be believed, the Nokia C6 comes in slider form and looks fairly similar to the Nokia 5230. Looks genuine, but you never can tell for sure. Hopefully Nokia will confirm or deny soon so we can put it to rest either way.
It also looks similar to the N97 and N97 Mini, but the sliding QWERTY keyboard is parallel to the screen, which is much nicer. Looks like the C6 also has a trackpad that you won’t really need with the full touchscreen display.
If real, it should arrive this summer.
Nokia C5 Gets FCC Approval

When announcing the new mobile phone, Nokia said that it included the capabilities of a smartphone, even if it sported a low price tag. The model that passed through FCC’s courtyard now sports quad band GSM and 900 / 2100MHz 3G connectivity, which means that it might not actually be put on sale in the United States, even if the idea of getting a smartphone for under $200 unlocked is a very appealing one.
The specifications list of the Nokia C5, in case there are some of you who might have missed them, include a compact, candybar form factor, a 3.2 megapixel camera, microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, pre-loaded Ovi Maps so that users can enjoy free walk and drive navigation on their handset, and great connectivity so that one can stay in touch with friends at all time.
One of the main features of the handset is its support for social networking sites, as it sports direct access to favorite contacts straight from the home screen, while Facebook updates are visible directly from the phone book. Moreover, users will find it very simple to upload photos on such sites, including Facebook and MySpace, while also benefiting from instant messaging and email on the go from Ovi Mail and other providers. The new Nokia C5 has been slated for a market release as soon as the second quarter of the ongoing year, which means that it shouldn’t be too long before we can see it available on shelves, so stay tuned for more.
